An announcement....

Hello my dears

I hope you’re happy and well.

I wanted to let you know that I’m introducing a new element into this blog today.

For a long time, I’ve wanted to use it to publish my back catalogue of plays.

And today is the day.

So hopefully, what you’ll get as the day goes on is an introduction to my play, PLAYING WITH FIRE, and the first scene of the script.

Because I enjoy reading things aloud, and because not everyone enjoys reading a play script, if I’m clever you should also get access to a recording of the scene that I’ve adapted so I can read it aloud as a story.

If that doesn’t appear, it’s because I’ve still not been clever enough to work out how to set up a podcast.

But eventually I will.

As this experiment proceeds, and as the stock of plays increases, I’ll start inviting people to pay access to it.

I do believe very firmly that writers should be paid for our work, and that includes this blog… but what I know to be true in theory is not always easy to put into practice and right now I find myself feeling quite unconfident about it.

In the meantime, I’m very grateful to you for subscribing. It means a lot of me.
