I’ve kept on reading a little bit of Mark’s story aloud each morning, and I’m not quite sure why I haven’t published them here.
Something to do with the complications of travelling; and something to do with the horrible brutality of Jesus’ death.
And I can’t see it as being culturally very healthy, the way orthodox Christianity keeps focussing on these atrocious scenes of trauma…
Anyway. Tenderness has re-entered the story, and I’m staying with beautiful friends in Livepool who tell me they enjoy these little readings.
So I thought I’d share this one… filmed in their beautiful garden.
And today I move on….
Do let me know if these little readings are meaningful to you. Or if they’re not…
And you might even want to share them. I’ve a funny feeling it’s important for queer voices to be reading the bible…
