It strikes me as astonishing the was our political leaders act on the assumption that immigration is an evil and should be stopped.
As so often, the opposite is true.
And I wanted to say it, and relate it to my experience. As I do.

That was 11 days ago. It’s been seen 41 thousand times; and the vast majority of the 93 comments have been positive and supportive, humane and beautiful.
Perhaps we live in a kinder society than we tend to imagine…
