I don’t know about this passage.
It’s true stories have power, and the kinds of things Jesus were trying to communicate can’t be communicated through rational means.
But this idea of an elite with exclusive access to the ‘true’ meaning of the stories strikes me as an invention of the Gospel compilers.
They were in the business of organising a church with a power structure, and this idea would serve their purpose very well…
