Absolutely loved this Jo, so very beautifully written!

In my dysfunctional family there was no order, only chaos. One wonders if the persons we’ve become is a result of nature or nurture……dialectical?

Ps I agree with your dad about Frank Coopers Thick Cut…(lol)!

Dear Dot, I know for sure that the comparative disorder in my house is a response to the excessive order in my parents! xxxx

I'm glad you had some sunshine in the gloom of your childhood. I've always felt a bit privileged to have had a "come as you are and tea times when it's ready" childhood.

Did the funeral do Jane justice? I've been to services where it was obvious that the vicar didn't have the first idea about the person. My mums funeral was perfect, the priest was a friend of hers and he captured her perfectly, and I left the church feeling uplifted.

That's what I like about these posts, they make me reflect on my own experience as well as understanding yours a bit better.

Thank you, dear Susan. Unfortunately the vicar who was due to lead the service fell ill with covid, and she had to hand the job over to her curate. He did his best but was pretty rubbish, to be honest.....xxxx
