WhenI was a child I truly believed that Jesus died on the cross for us. I was told that death by crucifixion was the most painful death that could be imagined and I found it unbearable to think about. All that was many many years ago, and many bitter and cynical thoughts have possessed me since that time.
So wonderfully written Jo! I can’t even begin to imagine what it was like for you to have been given such devastating news totally out the blue when you were so young, and so far away from home too. Your mother would be so proud of you, of that I’m sure, as WE are all proud of you!
